The Tennessee red quail is a color mutation of the bobwhite quail, and inherits the explosive flush and hard flying characteristics of the bobwhite.  This is readily becoming a favorite of hunting preserves,  and dog trainers as some states to not have any limitations of seasons and bag limits on them, making them great for training birds in the off season.
